The way X saw the world was forever changed by having been doxxed. The shorthand doesn’t quite mean enough to cover it. This “event” was an indefinite period, exceeding a decade, with a more acute period of about 2 years, of having any available documentation on her (which, as a lifelong electronic trafficking victim, was a *lot*), including those falsified, surreptitiously slid into the awareness of people who would act on them. This meant radicals, activists, vigilantes, friends, doctors, police, security, neighborhood watches, anyone who trusts their devices enough to be misled by them, really. This is a form of organized stalking and torment in which the victims are activated into perpetrators by targeted misinformation, without awareness that they are being organized. This achieves a mass network of stalking and a smear campaign to isolate, control and/or kill a target, as well as a thorough cover story, where every single witness would be guilty if aware of what they had really done and that they were wrong about why they thought it was right to do it- so, they very rarely approach the work to become aware, perpetually regurgitating their activating narrative until it eclipses the facts.

A confirmation bias ensues between the prime target and the people targeted to target them, where the more the prime target is tormented, the more antagonized they become, thus more suspicious and suspicious of the world of torment that they come to know from these chronic setups, and how self perpetuating this energy of doubt and fear becomes. X was different enough to survive her termination date, she thought, in that she saw glimmers past her own reactions to the abuse, and her entitlement to retaliate, enough to see that they had all been set up, and to feel for all of them. To pity people who had hunted her undeservedly rang a lot like Stockholm syndrome , but, she thought it logical. They would be filled with disgust if they saw the truth behind their treatment of her, just like she had experienced of her own misguided actions. She saw the cycle, what these people hunting her now were doing, would be used to target them later if they ever became a problem according to the anonymous oppressors whose hands and names remained clean, just as she had experienced of her own misguided actions.

They were being played like sims for not knowing modern technology could and had made that possible. You don’t blame the sim for burning the house down with the family locked inside. You would blame the sick fuck holding the mouse. Or, most would, if they thought those were real people. She felt, in the process, she had been so dehumanized that many likely felt more affection for simulations of living things like these.

In a world where everyone is guilty, anyone can be legally and socially persecuted at any time, and this seemed to be the direction of things. People having intimate relationships with insecure AI models were only making them more vulnerable to such setups, but there were many more methods and applications of data collection that put even the technologically abstinent at risk.

As much as X was desperate for people to stop watching and stalking and spying on her, poisoned by the negative exposure, she wished that any of the good ones would keep watching past the point that she lost their interest, to try to understand that and how they could have been so misguided and why. She wished they would consider whether what they had seen had not in fact been shown to them. Personalized propaganda in the modern era would take work and brave thinking to spot, and she seldom seemed worth it from the far outside skewed perspectives.

Now she had been so damaged by the forced isolation that she maintained it herself, keeping her both safe and endangered. she was gradually finding safe people to break through the nightmare world of two-way perceptions and it was helping, but she knew that the closer she got to any of them, the more they could hurt her, the more they could fall prey to thinking they really knew her when they fell for the framing of her, and how it had changed her very frame, the more effectively they could be weaponized if they weren’t careful, which very few people seemed to be.

Now when people became suspicious of her, she was so sensitive to the accusations, that she reacted, which made them suspicious of her. They never wondered of another reason that she might seem so guilty, in a world that did not differentiate between guilt and fear. She was getting whiplash from all the rubbernecking, and all the attention it attracted. She could try to explain, but people couldn’t rightly tell that from suspect excuses. It revealed to her a world of people misinformed on the most personal levels, and what a nuclear weapon personalized misinformation had become now that all of their numbers were had….
